I have been using these straws for some time now and I don’t want to live without them. They are strong, don’t shred, don’t taste like paper and can’t suck in air while using them. Please don’t ever stop making them.
These straws make my life more livable - no exaggeration. Several years ago, I was very seriously injured in a freak accident. The hospital saved my life and my brain and rebuilt my face. The brain injury resulted in a tremor that is progressive, so I can't hold a cup or glass anymore and need to drink all liquids through a straw. I was determined to find straws that are biodegradable and yet would stand up to cold and very hot coffee and tea, and my husband came upon REPURPOSE straws in the grocery store. What a wonderful find, since they are just perfect for me! Being able to get them by subscription makes everything so easy, too. Thank you so much for the Compostable Marine Degradable PHA Straws!
I rarely write reviews but was disappointed to have tried the Repurpose Compostable straws. They can ONLY be handled gently and used to drink from a cup with no lid. If you try to put them through the hole of a lidded cup they collapse and crack, losing the ability to suck liquids through them. I make yogurt shakes from home To Go and put into a reused plastic cup with lid. These straws are useless. If a little kid were to fiddle with it, as they are prone to do, wouldn’t hold up.

I was so impressed by these straws. I don’t love using plastic straws, but paper ones disintegrate too quickly, and metal ones are hard to clean. This is the perfect combination of everything I want in a straw. Sturdy and good for the environment!
I love that I used these straws with my children and they did not fall apart like paper straws!
